Sea of Lights

When you drive to Chicago

in the dark of the night,

the wind turbines appear

as a sea of red lights.

And it almost seems ominous,

those flickering giants

like an alien invasion

signing their initials in the fields.

But those lights

do not say stop.

They say go–

to your destination,

to progress,

to your legacy,

.

To the future.
