I’ve been walking in shoes that don’t really fit right,
’cause some days they’re too loose and some days they’re too tight
and their fabric burns red on my blister brushed feet,
like the trails of a firework show.
But I’m still standing straight and I’m still walking strong
’cause these boots on my toes tell me there’s nothing wrong.
With some good wear and tear, they’ll fly straight down this street
and they’ll take me where I need to go.
