Storm Warning

The rain doesn’t care

if you’re human or not,

if you’re black or you’re white,

lost or found, or not quite.

It just beats on the panes

in the darkness of night.

Shouldn’t you do the same?

Will you give up the fight?

The rain doesn’t see

worth in anger or spite.

Will you dare to go far?

Will you forget the scar

and fall down from the spin

in the dark like a star?

Will you then finally win

and just be who you are?
