The Inner Critic

You’re stupid.

You’re fat.

You’re an ugly old hat.

You’re bossy.

You’re mean,

and you’re writing’s obscene.

You’ve got spots on your face–

just get out of this place!

And there’s no one who’ll ever

ask you on a date.

So just wipe off the slate

’cause there’s no way to hide the mistakes that you make,

You are beautiful.

And don’t let anyone,

not even yourself,

tell you otherwise.
