Puzzle

A thousand pieces of the London skyline;

a Christmas gift from our cousins.

We sit around the living room together

studying the picture on the box;

separating a piece of river from a piece of sky;

searching thoroughly for the lost piece of Big Ben.

A cold snowy afternoon can be spent

playing computer games or watching TV,

or it can be spent with three generations

sitting together on the carpet

puzzling away through the winter storm.
